Today, on 23 April 2016, the world marks 400 years since the death of William Shakespeare. Tributes to the world-famous playwright will take place across the globe, but we’re in the Bard’s hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon for a day celebrating his life and works. The Prince of Wales will visit historical sites in the town this afternoon before being joined by The Duchess of Cornwall tonight for “Shakespeare Live! From the RSC”. The event celebrates Shakespeare’s legacy in theatre, music, opera and ballet. #Shakespeare400
