Michelle Obama: "The military was just something I was going to do forever. When you're told you can't do that anymore, it really is a crushing blow. In the time since my recovery, I made it my goal to help other wounded servicemembers and veterans. Team Rubicon UK looks at veterans in a different way. I was able to share my story with HISTORY of being a wounded veteran and how “putting on the grey shirt of Team Rubicon” gives me a renewed sense of purpose by allowing me to continue to serve, even while out of uniform. Not as people in need of assistance after being broken by life in the armed forces, but rather as assets. Veterans are a vital part of society and can and should be used to help others in times of need across the global community; to make use of the skills and experiences they gained through service in the military." -David Wiseman, Team Rubicon Volunteer, Former Infantry Officer from the British Army, Captain of the UK's 2016 @InvictusOrlando Games

Gwyneth Paltrow: Hey @robertdowneyjr and #chrisevans, want to take a road trip? I will drive you guys down. #Repost @hizrarejwl with @repostapp. ・・・ This is Ryan Wilcox, he's an 18 year old guy from San Diego battling cancer and he absolutely LOVES Captain America and the Avengers and what we want for Ryan if possible is to meet the actors and actresses of the Avengers, especially Chris Evans who plays Captain America. He isnt doing too well and this would be a major way to boost his spirits and quite frankly be the best moment of his life if he literally got to meet his hero! Please share this to help get the attention of Chris, Robert, Scarlett, and the rest of the Avengers cast and try to make his dream come true! ‪#chrisevans #avengers #makeawish

Michelle Obama: "I’ll never forget the day I called my mother sobbing, saying I should never have gone to college, since due to the unpredictable nature of being married to a military member, I’d never be able to piece together any sort of career or professional identity. Despite a set plan to become a teacher, overseas orders early in my military marriage showed me teaching wasn’t the “guaranteed” career path everyone promised. After melting down entirely, my mother, a military spouse of 27 years, calmly asked me, “Now why do you think you’d ever allow yourself to settle for less than what you truly want out of life?” That conversation, military spouse to military spouse, became my a-ha moment. After working in a few roles and blogging on the side, I realized that the military spouse community had a powerful message to share, but there was no place yet for our voice. So I created NextGen MilSpouse and the military spouse blogger network, MSB New Media. I've called these ventures a happy accident, but looking back now I can’t imagine life any other way. Momma is always right." –Adrianna Domingos-Lupher shares her #JoiningForces story.

Michelle Obama: "For the first 18 years of my life, I moved between 13 different foster homes and five group homes in Chicago. All the indicators suggested that I was heading down a negative path, but I didn’t want to become a statistic. I wanted to be a leader. So I joined the Marine Corps. As a Marine, I found a purpose and a mission. Most importantly, I found a family. When the time came to take off my uniform, I confronted challenges that made me afraid I’d fall into the same traps I feared earlier in life. Then, at a community service project with the Mission Continues, I found a new team and mission. I found a network of veterans, full-time employment, and with the support of my volunteer group, a new home for me and my family." –Tina Thomas, a @US.Marines veteran and proud The Mission Continues team member. #JoiningForces
