Amanda de Cadenet: #TBT to one of my fav covers I ever shot of #KR . I never saw images where he looked like The man I knew.This story we did together really showed him how I saw him ( you are welcome ) Another note is that when I first became a photographer I was told multiple times that no one would ever hire me because I was well known for being a tv host and therefore wouldn't be taken seriously. Never listen to those people and just make sure you show them to be wrong which I have done many times .

This conversation revitalized me in so many ways. Being an advocate for women and girls gets pretty disheartening at times. Making media that focuses on women's stories at the center is not often funded and anyone who is in the entertainment industry knows that . I made @theconversation from my living room before it got funded and I'm sure I never would've been put on TV if I hadn't of just made it however I could because I believe these stories need to be heard . Today all these women spoke about not giving up and your voice DOES matter , the issues you care about ARE important and without us fighting for what we care about no change can occur . #womensupportingwomen #senatorkirstengillibrand #attorneygeneralkamalaharris @americaferrera & #ElizabethEnglish @kellybushnovak

They received their prizes from The Duchess of Cornwall at #BuckinghamPalace this morning. The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition was founded in 1883 and is the world’s oldest international schools’ writing contest. More than 13,000 entries were received from 49 Commonwealth countries and territories, from the UK all the way to Tristan da Cunha (5,592 miles away)!
